Impact

We create atmosphere. With impact. What does that mean exactly? On the one hand we are driving the change towards a comprehensive circular, sharing society. Such a society shares things for daily use. This has a variety of additional ecological and social benefits – also known as impact. A longer lifespan reduces resource requirements and the associated environmental impact. In addition to the ecological and social benefits, this concept also has an economical purpose. The circular economy design promotes very different aspects of value creation: for example, a longer lifespan, which extends purchasing cycles and saves costs, or better reparability, which reduces the labour required for care and maintenance. Many jobs have already been created for this development, with very different qualifications.

At the same time, the atmospheres that we achieve with our materials have a great beneficial effect. They make an impression. We create workplace environments that people love every day. Events that impress all the senses. We facilitate trade show presentations that showcase your products and services in a particularly memorable way.

We are facilitating a resource-conserving and sustainable circular economy and sharing society. We do this by providing commonly used items in a timely fashion, of high quality, in sufficient quantities at the proper point of use.

Our impact

Circular &
Sharing Economy

The circular economy within the Rent.Group consists of three main phases: Development, use and refurbishment and/or recycling. In the future, we want to be an even stronger facilitator of the fundamental transformation towards a widespread circular economy. Processes must be designed for a circular workflow. This means that we use our materials, reprocess them and - if nothing else works - recycle their raw materials to a high standard.

For such a circular economy to work, the products must be particularly modular. This ability to be broken down into individual modules allows for more frequent use, facilitates repair, makes the material easier to stack, among other things, and therefore allows for a significantly optimised logistics process.

In addition, individual components can be replaced and processed separately. The residual material and utilisation values of product parts can thus be fully exploited. In short: the product is used at its highest quality level for longer. Raw materials are also reused and ultimately recycled to a high standard. This will significantly increase their share in the next product generation.

Circular products save on energy and emissions. They are designed and manufactured (blue: phase A) in a way that is optimised for this purpose. This is followed by the longest period (beige: phase B) of circular utilisation. Items will be distributed via rental. We prepare them in three stages depending on the intensity of use. At the end of the entire utilisation phase (green: phase Z) the raw materials are repurposed in a way that preserves their value as much as possible.
Items must be designed and produced in an optimised way for the circular economy (phase A). During circular use in the sharing economy (phase B), they can be used for a long time (1) and always maintained and refurbished (2-3) depending on wear and tear. At the end of life (phase Z), all reusable materials in the goods are made available again for production (phase A) or the last remaining materials are recycled to a high standard. Rent.Group intends to extend phases A, B and Z to its entire product range in the coming years. To this end, we are working intensively with the partners in our supply chain.

We utilise a cycle that has been perfected over 30 years. A cycle to deliver, collect, maintain and refurbish materials and then rent them out again in optimum condition. Thanks to this model, furniture and interior objects are used more intensively throughout their entire life cycle. We are therefore improving their resource efficiency. The decentralised organisation with company headquarters in major European urban centres results in short delivery routes. This allows us to respond very flexibly and at short notice to customer requests or changing conditions. This allows our customers to participate perfectly in highly sustainable temporary material utilisation. Choose your favourite material from our large selection again and again. This is not only more ecological, but in most cases also more economical than buying materials yourself.

Products for circular sharing must be designed differently than those for sale. They are designed and manufactured to optimise their use (blue: phase A). This means that for utilisation (beige: phase B), thanks to their modularity, they can be provided by logistics in an excellent and emission-saving manner. After use, they are maintained and refurbished in an optimised process. Finally at the end of their lifespan, (green: phase Z) individual parts can be reused and wear materials recycled. Rent.Group will equip its entire product range for this circular utilisation in the coming years.

Circular & Sharing Economy

The circular and sharing economy offer us systematic and at the same time cost-effective approaches to counter climate change and resource scarcity. In the sharing economy, products and services are shared and utilised jointly without ownership. The concept has already become established in many service areas.

Car sharing is among the most well-known. The shared use of goods significantly reduces the consumption of resources. Users also are able to select from a wider range of offerings and gain flexibility. We see our role as a facilitator by renting out interior design for a wide range of applications.

Resource pooling

Shared resource utilisation for efficiency and sustainability: Resource pooling enables us to reduce costs, increase efficiency and optimise the use of existing resources. By pooling resources, we can provide shared items in good time, in sufficient quantities and in high quality at the location of use. This increases overall efficiency and at the same time is an important step towards sustainability. This means that everyone has access to our durable, resource-saving designer furniture.

Sustainability

Sustainability and the circular economy are developments that are now on the verge of a major breakthrough and have gained enormous importance at both a social and a corporate level.

Sustainability motivates us. And we are making things happen – to increase sustainability. We take inspiration from science, research and development and are in turn a driving force in our industry.

The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals can be categorised into the economic, social and environmental spheres. They all have an important, but varying degree of influence on the protection of the planet as a habitat.
As there is still no general legal requirement, Rent.Group has drawn up its own catalogue of criteria for sustainable action, based on industry standards and other sustainability framework models. In addition to the already established ESG criteria, i.e. environment, social, governance, we have our own initiative on circular economy, cost effectiveness and customer requirements. This strategy is reviewed by a third party and continuously developed by the Rytec Circular – Kompetenzzentrum für Kreislaufwirtschaft [Resource Centre for Circular Economy], among others.
We already fulfil 11 of the 17 sustainability goals set by the United Nations, in these proportions.

IMPACT WITH SUSTAINABLE INTERIOR SHARING FROM THE RENT.GROUP

Rent.Group is driving the change towards a sharing society. With our rental furniture, we create atmospheres that leave an impression. Thanks to circular interior sharing, we also create additional ecological, social and economic benefits that make all the difference.

We are pioneers in the development of a comprehensive, circular sharing society. Our concept promotes the everyday sharing of products, which leads to a longer useful life. This reduces the amount of resources required, which in turn minimises the environmental impact. Less waste, less resource consumption – that is our contribution to a better environment.

With our decentralised projects and short delivery routes to European urban centres, we further minimise the ecological footprint. We are committed to sustainability and actively contribute to reducing our environmental impact.

The Rent.Group achieves not only environmental advantages, but also social benefits. Our (co-)development creates new job opportunities at various European locations. We promote a wide range of qualifications and create opportunities for people in our society.

We attach great importance to the five areas of impact: governance, employees, customers, society and the environment. These areas form the foundation of our social commitment and our responsibility towards society.

ECONOMIC IMPACT

Our approach activates various value creation potentials and thus also has economic advantages. A longer useful life means less frequent new purchases and therefore cost savings for our customers. We also focus on better reparability, which reduces labour costs and enables further savings. This not only makes ecological sense, but also economic sense.

Thanks to circular interior sharing, Rent.Group has a wide range of different pieces of furniture, decorative items and equipment at its disposal. We use these to create an impressive atmosphere at every event that emphasises the core message of the event in a unique way and captivates people. From events that impress all the senses, to trade fair presentations that showcase your product range extremely effectively through to workplace environments that people love to be in every day, with our broad selection of sharing interiors, we create the perfect environment for your needs.

Become part of the sharing society and benefit from the advantages of circular interior sharing. The Rent.Group offers you additional environmental, social and economic benefits that reward your decision in favour of sustainability and efficiency. Contact us today and shape a better future together with us. Resource efficiency has never been so easy.
